Sailing and Motor Yachts in Mahogany and Teak

Putting the Spazzo to water

At the start of October 2005, the motor yacht Spazzo was put to water for the first time.

Stern port side

Here you can see the distinctive underwater shape as well as the fitted motor.

Bow

Like magic, the hull floats above the water.

Starboard side bow

The shapely hull sits gleaming in the water.

Chrome and mahogany

Numerous shapes of shining chrome accentuate the mahogany.

Safe side strakes

Looking from the bow you can clearly see the ergonomically designed accessible sides of the Spazzo, and the stern of the motor yacht forms an ideal bathing platform. The safety on deck was increased by non-slip teak. The very importance of such details is greatly appreciated by anyone who has ever slipped on a smooth deck with wet feet.
Here you can see the deliberate deep v-shape of the bow, which assures that the yacht carves smoothly through the typical short waves on the interior lakes, guaranteeing a comfortable sailing experience at any speed.

Bow top view

The top view of the bow shows class and a love of detail. Hiding below the teak deck is the anchor winch, which hoists the anchor, visible on the left, flat against the bow for sailing.
For the first tests, the leather bolster and seat cushions were not yet fitted, so that one could still enjoy the all-over wood surface.

Steering position Spazzo

Functional and classically beautiful, the steering position gleams with its many controls and instruments.

Motor compartment of the yacht Spazzo

The motor compartment is hydraulically opened giving us a clear view of the 235 KW (320 HP) power engine, which transfers its engine output to the two back-to-back counterrotating propellers.

Adjustable propeller shaft of the yacht Spazzo

A worker checks the angle of the propeller shaft, which is adjustable from the steering position.

Idle speed

The motor is switched on for the first time.
The light vibrations from accelerating while not moving are transferred to the water surface, transforming the reflections into modern art.

First run

While leaving on the first test-run you can see how ideal this boat serves as a bathing platform.
The slim hull shape already indicates that you can sail quite fast, which can be seen on the following photos.
