Reconstruction Here you can see the finished reconstruction of the stern post tilted on a cart. On the left you can see the lower end, which comes to rest on the keel base. |

Reattached The lower end of stern post was fitted onto the new keel base, while the upper part was reattached to the old parts of the yacht. Here you can clearly make out the “sandwich” form of construction. The two outer parts are made of hard mahogany and the inner part from a lighter mahogany. The somewhat darker right hand side is called the "knee". |
