Riveting the small steel parts

The small frame parts require fewer workers, but are all riveted in the very same way.

Precision

The riveting hammer must put placed precisely on the hot rivet to achieve the right head shape.

Gases

It is amazing how many gases are released during the riveting process. They are formed by when the pre-coated and painted steel surfaces heat up rapidly.

At the top of the photo you can make out the tip of the black riveting hammer and below right the rivet holder. The holder forms the counterpart to the riveting hammer during this process.

Duration

The entire process of forming the rivet takes about 3 seconds.
