Riveting parts inside the hull

Some parts can only be worked on outside

Up to a maximum of half the frame parts can be riveted outside of the hull, where the conditions make it easier.
Due to the complicated shape of the hull, the two halves have to be assembled together inside the hull and then riveted there.

Cramped and awkward angles

The boat builders found the keel section, in particular, cramped and with awkward angles, making it difficult to use the riveting hammer.

Bear in mind that the rather large holder also has to be applied on the reverse side each time.

The riveting process here proved to be a particular challenge, which our specialists faced with dedication and patience.

Neatly riveted

Even under terrible conditions, all the rivets were finished.

Here you can see an old steel frame. The old parts were replaced one after another to safeguard the stability of the hull.
