Taking measurements Those frame parts that were still any use, were used to mark the exact measurements needed. Back in 1928, these oak wood frames were bent into shape under steam conditions. At that time, the solid wood was bent under hot water steam and kept so long their shape. The dimensions of these frames are: 48 mm x 38 mm. |

Screwed to the floor In order to transfer the exact measurements, the old frames were laid down on wood supports on the floor; wooden brackets were placed along the frame and then screwed to the floor. A new frame was then measured and checked against this shape. |
