Priming the rivets

The coat

Finally, the finished rivets are cleaned and painted. They are cleaned using a scrubbing brush, and the coat of paint is applied using a small paint brush. Boat builders call this application of paint priming.

6 times

Firstly, 3 layers of zinc epoxy are applied as a base coat, then followed by 3 further layers of epoxy paint. This is applied on both sides of the rivet - on both rivet heads.

Remaining cool

Here you need to remain cool and be patient!
There are only 2,800 rivets!

Multiplied by 6 work procedures and two sides/heads per rivet, means carefully applying coats a total of 34,000 times.
