Holes

The planks are fixed to the steel frames with screws, and to the wooden frames with rivets from the outside, causing holes to appear.
You can see these in the middle part of the photo.

Furthermore, you can see the plank seams marked on the frames in red.

Plugs

In order to seal these holes in the planks, we cut out several thousand 20 mm diameter plugs from the same mahogany wood that the planks are made of.

These plugs were then glued into the plank using epoxy resin to seal the hole.
