Gluing the plugs Each plank is attached to each frame using two counter-sunk rivets. The holes in the planks are then sealed with glue-coated mahogany plugs.
In this photo, the joint between the two long plank halves is visible. Both plank ends are hafted together with a diagonal cut and glued together with epoxy resin on a long section of the yacht to ensure maximum hold. |

Scraps Once the new planks have been attached, the old scraps can be disposed of. |
