Transport over land

At the beginning of March 2003, the workers from Martin-Yachts and a special transport company loaded Anitra onto a low-bed articulated truck.

We then transported her by road through Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany to Lake Constance.

Only with a special permit were we allowed to transport the yacht, which is over 21 metres in length with a 4 metre beam.
Receiving such a permit was trouble-free, due to the considerable experience the Shipyard Martin has had with such transportations.

The journey went with a maximum speed of 50 mph (80 km/h) from Brügge, through Antwerp, Helmond, Düsselfdorf, Koblenz, Mannheim, Stuttgart, and on to Radolfzell.

The Anitra arrived at the shipyard in Radolfzell after a 24-hour journey along a carefully planned route.
