Fitting the new wooden frames

Time-consuming work

Every single frame was dismantled, reproduced and refitted.

62 wooden frames

Altogether 62 wooden frames were worked on. There are 31 on each side of the hull on the Anitra.

23 Wooden frames were completely reconstructed and 39 were partly rebuilt.

Accomplished

All of the wooden frames were either completely or partly replaced. In some places, you can clearly make out the glued joints of the frame parts.

The planks are riveted to the wooden frames with about 2,400 5 mm thick copper rivets.
